UCAS Application Deadlines
When applying to UK universities through UCAS, it is important to be aware of the key application deadlines. Submitting your application early allows time to refine your personal statement and ensure all required documents are prepared.

Main UCAS Deadline
January (usually late January)
Most undergraduate courses at UK universities have a UCAS deadline in late January for entry in the following academic year.

Applications submitted before this deadline receive equal consideration.
Early Deadline for Competitive Courses
October (usually mid-October)

Some courses have an earlier deadline, including:

• Medicine
• Dentistry
• Veterinary Medicine
• Veterinary Science

Applications to the universities of:

• Oxford
• Cambridge

also follow this October deadline.
Late Applications
After the main deadline, some universities may still consider applications if places remain available. However, applying early increases the chances of securing a place in competitive courses.
When Should You Start Preparing?
Many students begin preparing their UCAS application several months before the deadline. This allows time to draft and refine the personal statement and gather feedback before submission.
At Global Bridge Careers we support international applicants with personal statement review and application preparation to ensure their application presents their strengths clearly.
